My Story

I grew up as a “fat kid” until junior high, whereupon playing sports and weight lifting ignited my passion for fitness and movement. In high school my interest was accelerated by my Anatomy and Physiology teacher, who explained the field of exercise science to me. After enrolling at San Francisco State University as a Kinesiology major, I competed in wrestling and joined the Ultimate Frisbee club team. While studying at SF State I earned my NASM personal trainer certification and began training clients at a corporate gym. I continued on this path for six years, moving into managerial roles until I had to spread my wings like a peacock and fly! I became interested in holistic lifestyle coaching and decided it was time to branch out, becoming an independent trainer and teaching fitness classes. This allowed me to put more focus on helping all of my clients and students become the best version of themselves, both in and out of the gym. Being able to reach more people with inspiration and motivation is what I know I am meant to do! After all, a great lyricist once said: “Today you are you, that is truer than true. There is no one alive who is youer than you.” – Dr. Seuss
