Ever since I fell in love with fitness at an early age, it has always been a positive constant in my life. From swimming competitively in high school to bodybuilding in college, I have loved finding new challenges for my body and mind. While attending college in San Diego, I discovered group fitness and was immediately obsessed with the smorgasbord of formats available. Sweating it out with great people to awesome music - who wouldn’t want to be doing this?! In my medical school studies I was fascinated by the many benefits of movement and proper nutrition. Inspired to combine my two passions of healthcare and fitness, I became an instructor to spread the message of self-care.
Like Elle Woods said, “Exercise gives you endorphins. Endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don’t shoot their husbands. They just don’t!” All jokes aside, I truly believe movement is medicine and the more you move, the healthier you will be. Good health can bring happiness. When you are happy, you feel good and when you feel good, you do good, ultimately making the world a better place.
My musical taste is a hot mess: Cher, Eminem, Psy, Linkin Park, Dimash, Beyonce, Disney, Hamilton – if it has a good beat and awesome vocals, I’ll find a way to rep out to it!
