The hardest question people ask me is "so where are you from?" I'm German, but was born in Spain, spent quite a bit of time in Asia, lived in over 15 countries and visited more. Fitness, martial arts and training have been my constant. I've always engaged in, read about, researched and enjoyed these disciplines since I was a kid. Initially, my career was in multimedia production, but seven years ago I bought into CMG Fitness in South Africa and developed the company into a concierge health and wellness business which was an incredibly interesting and entrepreneurial endeavor. My wife, Kate, and I met in Johannesburg, South Africa, when we were both living there and we moved to California in early 2018. I love training people willing to push themselves and learn. I specialize in designing customized training programs based on your needs and goals using various modalities. I will take your goal, reverse engineer it for you, and give you the roadmap.
I believe movement should be a part of your day, every day. It's fundamental to longevity, feeling good and enjoying the quality of life we want. Listen to your body and understand it enough to modify your training, diet and lifestyle choices. One size does not fit all. My approach is generally to fix movement patterns, then to increase strength, and finally, to bring it all together with conditioning, all the while supporting the process with appropriate nutrition and recovery in order to see progress.
Heavy metal for weight training, old school hip-hop for boxing, and EDM for endurance training.
Because I'm new to the Bay Area I've really enjoyed exploring and haven't settled on a favorite place yet. I'm also loving all the hiking available nearby.
I love cooking Japanese food, and I roll killer sushi.
