Our Coaches Are Focused This Week

Fitness Classes SF

We asked our health coaches what they are currently working on in class and below we’ve shared a little insight from a few of your favorites. Get to class early and let them know what you want to work on!

Jet Noir- This week has a theme song. “The Fire” by The Roots from their album “How I Got Over”. If you haven’t heard the song, these lyrics will explain why it’s my theme song right now: “There’s something in your heart / and it’s in your eyes / It’s the fire, inside you / Let it burn / You don’t say good luck / You say don’t give up / It’s the fire, inside you / Let it burn.” Join me during one of this week’s workouts as we fan the flames of the fire inside. Giddyup!

Andrea Aranda- We’ve been working on undulations, especially pulling the belly button to the spine. Even if my students haven’t mastered an undulation, I want them to know that they are pulling the belly button in and working those abdominal muscles!

Michael Espero- In CrossMix we’re focusing on alternating between quadriceps dominant and hip dominant free weight workouts. We also spend time improving structural balance
emphasizing face pulls, external rotation, and a variety of higher rep pulling movements.

Sam Natividad- In Muay Tai Kickboxing & Boxing gotta say our focus is on technique, form, and breathing. I’m big on technique…

Vincent Som- My fri-sat CrossMix classes have had a focus on short 5-10 minute maximum intensity workouts focused on vertical loading of the spine and maintaining midline stability, with a finishing workout consisting of static holds such as planks, hollow body positions, dead bugs, and various other core strengthening movements. TRX has had a focus on keeping the body line throughout all exercises, with an emphasis on shoulder health. MMA conditioning has been focusing on honing the foot jab and right/left leg roundhouse kicks. Mainly timing and distance, as well as body position for rotation of the roundhouse kick.

Stella Sandoval- Posture, flexibility and core strength!

Kim Nicol- the word of the week is BELIEVE. . . and we’ll be infusing our movement w/ a dose of curiosity.

Linda Cardoso- Infusing FUN into cycle class with a great playlist!
