Honey Flow

A sweet yang/yin combination. Get your yoga flow and then melt into a rejuvenating restorative practice.

Each class revolves around a particular focus that is explored through the modalities of Vinyasa, yin, and restorative yoga. Vinyasa is breath linked to movement, still emphasizing form and alignment. Flow through the first part of class then move to gentle, low to the ground, supported poses that restore our alignment and reconnection to the bliss body that is always deep within. Yin poses, held longer, focus on ligaments, connective tissue, and joints. Honey Flow is often described as a gentle flow and offers the best of both worlds; a great way to move, release, then relax.

What you’re working

What to expect
Find the sweetness in every moment, both on and off the mat. You’ll gently elevate your heart rate and then get some time to attend to those aches, pains, and creaky spots that have been speaking to you all week. This class is commonly offered at the end of a strenuous work or training week to compliment any routine. Move your chi around with strength building sequences that you traditionally find in yang style (more athletic, faster moving) yoga, and then allow your body to melt into more passively held stretches where you may find yourself resisting the urge to fidget. Each class starts with a warm-up and breathing practice, moving with increased focus and intention through a flow of poses, closing with restorative postures.

What to wear
Bare feet or socks and warm, comfortable clothing that you can easily move in
